संसार में बहुत सी अनहोनी बातें ऐसी होती हैं जो मनुष्य के समझ में नहीं आती.
अकस्मात एक दिन कोई भूकम्प आता है जो मनुष्य के जीवन को उथल पुथल कर देता है. ऐसे समय किसी दुसरे को दोष नहीं देना चाहिए. उसे दैव वश मान कर अपना प्रारब्ध मान कर स्वीकार कर लेना चाहिए.
आज जो हो रहा है वो होनी करा रही है, ये विधना है जिसने माता कैकयी जैसी स्नेहमयी और पुण्यशिल स्त्री को ऐसी बुद्धि दे दी है.
कभी-कभी आँखों से देखा हुआ भी सत्य नहीं होता.
राजपथ का परमार्द साधारण मानव को हो सकता है. इंद्र जैसे देवता को भी हो सकता है. परन्तु भारत का स्थान देवताओं से भी ऊँचा है.
वो एक महामानव के रूप में महानता की परी सीमा है. जिस प्रकार खटाई की एक बूंद से क्षीर सागर का दूध नहीं फट सकता. उसी प्रकार अयोध्या तो क्या त्रिलोक का राज्य भी भरत को दे दिया जाय तो भी उसे राजमध नहीं हो सकता.
माता! मैं तो केवल इतना ही जनता हूँ की भगवान के निकट जाती, पाती, ज्ञान, धर्म, कुल, गुण और चतुराई का कोई मोल नहीं होता. वो तो केवल भक्ति के नाते को ही सच्चा नाता मानते हैं.
मईया! अपने पुत्र से ममता का मोल माँगने आयी हैं.
माता! यदि आपकी ममता का यही मोल है की मैं जिसे धर्म मानता हूँ उसका त्याग कर दूँ. आप जिस रघुकुल की शोभा हैं उसकी कीर्ति में पिता का वचन भंग करके कलंक लगा दूँ. तो कहिये.. मुझे आपके चरणों की सौगंध है मैं इसी समय अयोध्या लौट जाऊंगा. परन्तु फिर मेरा जीवन रण से भागे किसी कायर की भांति एक तिरस्कार पूर्ण अस्तित्व एक श्राप बनकर रह जायेगा.
पिता और पुत्र का नाता प्रजा के मतामत से निर्धारित नहीं होता, इसी प्रकार भाई और भाई के बीच फैसले तलवार से नहीं किए जातें.
